The Project Manager will work under supervision of the Project Management Office Manager within the Service Delivery Operations Department and serve as a strategic thinking partner within the project team. The Project Manager will manage various projects supporting Central Health’s vision of creating a national model for healthcare delivery for identified vulnerable populations in Travis County. The Project Manager may provide support to any of the departments within Central Health and may include but not limited to the coordination and implementation of healthcare services, non-clinical healthcare programs, internal process improvement strategies, or quality improvement efforts. All projects require, as appropriate, developing and maintaining project schedules, maintaining, and properly controlling project scope, gathering and interpreting data, monitoring project budget, mitigating risks, and project implementation. Community partners and stakeholders are valuable components to the success of Central Health’s initiatives, therefore the Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders and community partners, manage their needs and requirements regarding the project, and foster sustainable relationships in alignment with Central Health goals and priorities.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Manage and coordinate projects to include developing project work plans, leading project team activities, and managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project through to closing using project management principles and best practices.
- Work with the project’s Business Owner, project team members or subject matter experts to define project scope, resource requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Continually monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, documenting lessons learned, identifying risk points and proposing solutions or escalating through the chain of command to leadership as needed.
- Work closely with partners to contract for, implement, monitor, assess, and improve the performance of projects.
- Coordinate data analysis related to the project under the direction of the working owner.
- Document existing operations or work-streams and analyzes potential changes to maximize coordination or efficiency.
- Participate in strategic or operational planning exercises for the Service Delivery Operations Department, Central
- Health, or stakeholders.
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities regarding project management and healthcare delivery.

- Strategies and challenges around healthcare delivery to individuals who earn less than 200% of the federal poverty level
- Applying project management skills at an intermediate level
- Developing, defining, and managing project scope, schedule, budget objectives, and key deliverables
- Planning, developing, and improving work processes
- Developing and managing project documentation to support implementation through completion and/or scaling
- Developing and documenting lessons learned and conducting project debrief meetings
- Conducting analysis, problem resolution, and critical thinking at an intermediate level
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders on development of approaches for implementing new projects
- Identifying risks to project completion and developing mitigation plans
- Creating performance metrics with moderate guidance
- Performing complex operations in Microsoft Office Suite
- Provide administrative support to the working owner in developing and processing a contract through to execution
- Communicate information professionally verbally, non-verbally, in writing, and in effective, clear, and concise terms to executive leadership, project team, provider partners, and stakeholders
- Collaborate, coordinate effectively, and build positive and productive relationships with fellow employees, the project team, internal/external stakeholders, medical staff, administration, community partner agencies, regulatory agencies, and the public
- Reconcile differences with coworkers and partners and resolve conflict in a professional and productive manner
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Understand complex data and relatively technical information
- Think critically using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches
- Work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment while also driving toward clarity and solutions
- Work under moderate supervision, with a high capacity to multitask
- Manage multiple projects at the same time while meeting deadlines and completing deliverables
- Principles and practices of business strategies, objectives, planning, development and management process and process improvement.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's Degree (higher degree accepted)
- 3 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree Required Or
- 1 year of related experience with Master's degree Required Or
- 1 year of related experience with PMP Certification from PMI Required
- PMP Project Management Institute(PMI) Within 2 Years Required
