• →Possess solid knowledge of data engineering practices, demonstrating a passion for quality and best practice. 
• →Adopt a continuous learning mindset, proactively seeking out and working on your areas of self development (technical & non technical). 
• →Support the adoption of modern cloud-based data platforms (with a clear path into Databricks - including support for certification)  
• →Be trusted to own and deliver stories and deliverables end-to-end, delivering quality production-ready outputs. 
• →Write well-tested, automated code — building unit tests and automation flows as standard practice, not an afterthought. 
• →Understand how project stories and deliverables fit into the broader project context, pre-empting different types of issues and scenarios that may be encountered. 
• →Work closely with SMEs, testers and end users, keeping communication proactive and surfacing blockers early. 
• →Contribute actively in team discussions - bringing ideas and building a reputation for quality work as a trusted, collaborative team mate.  

• Strong SQL skills (data modeling, query optimisation, stored procedures). 
• Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming data.  
• Experience with at least one programming language: Python, Java, or Scala (Python preferred) and experience with Oracle 
• Solid understanding of Data warehouse concepts (star schema, slowly changing dimensions)  
• Knowledge of version control (Github)  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or platforms like Snowflake, Databricks.
