What We Offer
~1 min read- Provide direct services to children diagnosed with Autism in an ABA setting using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Maintain neat, chronological documentation of all goals and behaviors
- Provide crisis intervention as necessary
- Interact professionally with parents, school, medical personnel, and others using only excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Keep abreast of current treatment technology, literature, practices, and regulations
- Ensure that the agency meets it quality improvement, evaluation and reporting requirements
- Respect the culture, diversity and rights of all clients, their families and the community
Requirements
~1 min read- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor degree preferred
- Must be flexible and willing to work at any of the Damar ABA clinics
- Ability to pass and maintain Critical Moments Training (CMT) Certification
- Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred. Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 60 days of hire as outlined by the BACB and Damar requirements.
- Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
- Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
The essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job. This includes the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.; operate office equipment, including a computer keyboard; travel to other locations using private or commercial transportation; and communicate effectively to exchange information.
The position also requires the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies in an environment where individuals may display aggressive, self-injurious, sexually maladaptive, elopement, or other unpredictable behaviors.
Regular and acceptable attendance, excluding approved absences and periods of leave, is also an essential function of the position.
