As FWI's MRMS Hydromet Development Advisor supporting NSSL, you will apply specialized technical expertise to guide the ongoing optimization of the MRMS Hydromet/QPE (quantitative precipitation estimation) codebase in support of the upcoming VCP-Agnostic version of MRMS — gathering facts, analyzing existing code and data, and developing recommendations and strategies for the development team. If you like advising on production C++ strategy for a system that operational forecasters rely on every day, this is your kind of project.
