Responsibilities

As a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide individualized rehabilitation services that help residents improve functional mobility, strength, balance, and independence.

Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.

Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions.

Assist residents in improving strength, endurance, coordination, and independence with daily activities.
→
Monitor patient progress, treatment tolerance, and changes in condition, communicating findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Educate and encourage patients and families within the PTA scope of practice.
→
Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory requirements.

Assist with safe transfers, mobility training, and appropriate use of assistive devices.
→
Follow facility safety protocols, established treatment procedures, and applicable Pennsylvania practice requirements.
→
Contribute to a positive, supportive, patient-centered rehabilitation environment.

We're seeking Physical Therapist Assistants who are dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Requirements

Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility to practice in Pennsylvania prior to employment, including an applicable PT Compact privilege.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Commitment to providing high-quality, individualized rehabilitation services.
Availability to provide weekday and/or weekend PRN coverage.
