Genus ABS are currently looking for an Associate Reproduction Management Specialist to deliver reproductive services to customer farms across South Wales, with an ideal base around the Monmouth area.

 

As an Associate Reproduction Management Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting the success of our customers’ herds - building and maintaining strong professional relationships with both teammates and farmers while making a real impact on herd fertility and productivity.You’ll work independently, identifying opportunities, inputting data, and contributing to team results. If you thrive outdoors, enjoy hands‑on work with animals, and want to build a meaningful career in agriculture, we’d love to hear from you!
  • Visit customer herds to heat-detect cows and analyse computer records before artificially inseminating the appropriate animals
  • Support the farm team to improve fertility within the herd; producing healthier and more productive cows to meet the business goals
  • Work with colleagues to provide outstanding customer service and animal health and welfare; increasing customer loyalty to Genus ABS' products and services
  • Make informed decisions based on the genetic plan, animal behaviour and data you have available; identifying solutions and presenting recommendations to improve your personal and team performance

Requirements

  • Full driving licence
  • Previous work experience working with livestock or large animals
  • Available to work on a flexible, part‑time zero‑hour basis on a rota across 7 days a week, including some early starts - perfect if you like quieter mornings and earlier finishes. Shifts are planned at least one month in advance, giving you plenty of time to plan life around work
  • Ability to work in the UK without the need of visa sponsorship either now or in the future

  • Monitor and identify goals for the reduction of our GHG emissions from our own operations.
  • Drive porcine and bovine genetic improvements which support productivity gains and improve feed efficiency, enabling a reduction in the production of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per unit of milk or meat produced
  • Identify facility and other opportunities for reductions in GHG emissions, consistent with our goals
  • Partner and advocate for policies that advance positive climate goals and identified United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
