Application Engineering Co-op (2027)

The Application Engineering Co-op position will perform varied duties of a complex nature. The candidate will support integration of existing products into new applications with general guidance from the Manager and direct guidance from a full-time engineer/mentor. Key skills include design, analysis, DFMEA, test planning, and component/system testing to ensure products achieve performance and reliability targets. The candidate will use testing results and advanced analysis tools to approve product applications and make recommendations where required.

• →Motivated, self directed, and the ability to make risk balanced decisions.
• → Modeling and drafting of concepts into designs that can be tested.
• → Conducts computer aided analysis of new concepts with FEA and/or CFD.
• →Tests materials and concepts, working closely with the test lab staff to design tests and document results.
• →Develops test designs to measure the function and quality of products and to test new ideas or modifications of existing products.
• →Provides technical expertise in support of improvements to existing product designs; authorizes product design revisions.
• →Provides engineering support to the process of modification of existing products to meet customer requirements, while retaining product function and quality.
• →Other duties assigned

• Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of school completed with strong academic performance (3.0 GPA or above)
• Junior or Senior status
• Demonstrated leadership, strong initiative and decision-making skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter who can work well independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across the organization\Selfless, positive, get-it-done attitude
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
