Location: Johns Hopkins Care at Home Central Fill Pharmacy
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 PM – 5:00 PM

~1 min read- →Process medication prior authorization requests and patient assistance program applications.
- →Collaborate with providers to obtain required clinical documentation.
- →Communicate with insurance companies and pharmaceutical manufacturers regarding coverage and authorization requirements.
- →Review requests for compliance with insurance and manufacturer guidelines.
- →Document all authorization and patient assistance activities in the medical record.
- →Coordinate with pharmacy staff to facilitate timely dispensing of approved medications.
- →Educate patients and providers on authorization and assistance program processes.
- →Investigate and resolve authorization denials and delays.
- →Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and workflow efficiency.
Requirements
~1 min read- High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with state of Maryland.
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required.
- Two (2) years of experience in pharmacy, medical billing, insurance verification, or a related field. One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of experience
