Iridium is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to support company‑wide executive and internal communications. This role helps develop and coordinate structured communications programs that promote clarity, alignment, consistency, and credibility across the organization.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications, this role collaborates closely with the communications team, HR, Marketing, and business leaders. It contributes to planning, drafting, and executing leadership and employee communications and supports analytics and reporting that help the organization understand communication effectiveness.
Responsibilities

- →Maintain and update executive narrative frameworks and ensure materials reflect current corporate priorities and messaging.
- →Draft and coordinate communications such as leadership emails, internal announcements, talking points, briefing notes, and company‑wide updates.
- →Assist with internal communications planning for business initiatives, organizational changes, and leadership priorities.
- →Help define and update audience segmentation to ensure communications meet the needs of employees, leaders, business units, and other internal stakeholder groups.
- →Support the management and maintenance of key communication channels (email, intranet, town halls, leadership updates).
- →Partner with HR and leaders to provide timely, clear communications that support engagement and change management.
- →Coordinate messaging across teams to reduce redundancy and maintain consistency.
- →Help gather feedback through surveys, forums, and sentiment tracking, and contribute to developing insights for improving communications.
- →Assist in measuring communication effectiveness and preparing reports or recommendations based on engagement and feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in executive communications, internal communications, or corporate PR
- Exceptional executive-level writing, editing, and message development skills
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing structured communications or PR programs
- Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- Ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across functions
- Analytical mindset with experience translating data into insight and action
- Comfort operating in high-visibility, high-stakes environments
- Proven experience supporting C-suite or senior leadership communications
- Experience developing communications plans for multiple audiences
- Experience managing PR analytics platforms such as Cision
- Experience working in a public company or regulated environment
- Travel up to 15%
This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.

Under Iridium’s Hybrid Work Policy, employees are expected to work at least four days per week (approximately 80%) in an Iridium office to support collaboration, relationship-building, and professional growth.

Base Pay Range: $105,000 - $140,000 USD
Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors and this range represents an estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Base salary is only one part of our compensation package for this role. You may also be eligible for company stock and annual bonus.
