Field Services & Young Farm Division Intern

Entity: Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation

Reports to: Director, Field Services and Director, Young Farmer Program

Compensation: A stipend of $5,000, to be paid at a rate of $500 per week for a total of 10 weeks

Location: On-site at KFB State Office in Louisville, KY

Term: May 2027 to July 2027

Application Deadline: December 11, 2026

• →Attend county board meetings to learn about county Farm Bureau functions.
• →Assist in creating resources to support county Farm Bureaus.
• →Collaborate with Area Program Directors to support county Farm Bureaus.

• →Participate in the planning and execution of the Murray State University and the University of Kentucky Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL) Conferences.
• →Create and present a leadership development workshop for a youth audience.
• →Assist with preparations and attend the 2027 Young Farmer Summer Outing.
• →Create resources for Young Farmer programming may include Collegiate Farm Bureau, Harvest for All, County Young Farmer Committees, etc.

• Available May – July 2027.
• Approximately 20-30 hours per week.
• Evening, weekend and in-state travel required.
