We are Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF),  an organisation that uses light aircraft to deliver help, hope, and practical love in more than 30 developing nations. For nearly 80 years, we’ve been flying patients, aid workers, relief supplies, and medical essentials into places where roads disappear and runways are carved from mountainsides. In these regions, aviation isn’t convenience. It’s survival.

Since 1951, MAF aircraft have traced lifelines across the rugged peaks and deep valleys of Papua New Guinea. Through unpredictable weather and dramatic terrain, our flights connect remote communities to health-care, education, clean water, disaster relief, and the Gospel.

MAF International’s Mission Experience Placement (MEP) offers a 6 to 12 month immersive experience in PNG. It’s not a tourist trip. It’s real mission life. You’ll live within the rhythm of a programme, contribute meaningfully to day-to-day operations, and gain hands-on experience that strengthens your future calling.

Our aircraft may cross mountain ranges, but our mission crosses barriers of isolation, poverty, and limited access. You’ll witness firsthand how aviation links churches, NGOs, missionaries, local communities, and government services in a shared mission of transformation.
