The Mechanical Engineer 1 designs, fabricates, develops, and tests solutions to improve reliability, capability, throughput, and the safety of production equipment, jigs/fixtures, workstations, and material handling equipment. The Mechanical Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.

  • Support Maintenance to identify, problem solve, and resolve issues in production equipment.
  • Design, fabricate, develop, and test jigs/fixtures, material handling equipment, and production workstations.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to gather insights, diagnose issues, and determine root causes of equipment challenges
  • Assist with equipment retrofits.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers with daily issues.
  • Maintain drawing accuracy and folder structure format.
  • Develop bill of materials and procure necessary materials.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement activities within production and business processes.
  • Assist in analyzing, identifying, and resolving production line problems and lead problem solving groups.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and materials
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated, strong written and oral communication required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
