Team Lead - 2nd Shift

• →Unloads raw materials from railcars
• →Leads, trains, and mentors the packaging team, assuring production goals are met
• →Planning and staging all required supplies and raw materials on time as to not slow production according to the daily production schedule
• →Able to make minor adjustments and setups to equipment
• →Must maintain a safe industrial work environment, able to enforce and adhere to all applicable safety policies
• →Held accountable for the well-being of team members and the care of equipment
• →Implementation of all associated Operational Excellence goals with the packaging area
• →Ensure highest level of safety, product quality, productivity
• →Ensures housekeeping is maintained to the acceptable standards
• →Other duties as assigned

• Operational level understanding of the OE principles and tools
• Open to change and helps to encourage and advance continuous improvement
• Generates ideas to improve processes and safety

Education: High School Diploma/GED        

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

• Forklift experience
• Knowledge of lean principles
• Previous experience leading a team
• Ability to perform normal work activities, sight, hearing and walking
• Ability to work with minimal guidance
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Mechanically inclined
• Self-Motivated
• Some computer skills such as Outlook and Microsoft Excel
• Continuous education as deemed necessary by the company

Working Conditions: Varies dependent upon season, dusty environment
