• Design, size, and scale Elasticsearch clusters (shards, node roles, hot/warm/cold tiers, ILM retention) against ingest volume and cost.
• Work with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to manage logging, search, and analytics pipelines.
• Tune indexing and query performance, monitor cluster health, handle upgrades, and own backup/snapshot and disaster recovery.
• Build Kibana dashboards, saved searches, and alert rules that operations and security teams actually use.
• Build and maintain Logstash/Beats/Elastic Agent pipelines, including parsing, enrichment, and normalization (ECS) from diverse sources such as firewalls, proxies, cloud, and OS logs.
• Implement RBAC, TLS, audit logging, and multi-tenant data separation where customers or teams must not see each other's data.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Python (Flask), integrating with relational databases PostgreSQL as an in-memory data store.
• Collaborate with team members to design scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Follow best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.

 

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong programming experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Strong grasp of index design, mappings, ILM, and query DSL, plus Grok/Ruby/Dissect parsing.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, databases, and asynchronous processing.
• Hands-on experience with the Elastic Security (Elastic SIEM).
• Experience troubleshooting a degraded cluster (unassigned shards, heap pressure, ingest backlog).
• Proficiency in Docker, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), and automation via Ansible.
• Knowledge of software design principles, OOP, and SOLID principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
