Staff Accountant

• →Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close process
• →Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• →Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and roll forward schedules
• →Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial analysis and reporting
• →Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements

• Process and post cash receipts and accounts receivable transactions
• Track, analyze, and report programmatic revenue activity
• Perform accounts receivable analysis and reporting
• Maintain deferred revenue roll forwards and related reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and supporting documentation

• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances or discrepancies
• Prepare account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
• Assist with fixed assets, intangibles, and property tax accounting as needed
• Support compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

• Interface with station leadership and internal departments during monthly closing processes
• Collaborate with accounting team members on special projects and process improvements
• Provide support for audits, reporting requests, and operational finance initiatives
• Assist management with additional accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, including journal entries and month-end close responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
• Experience with accounting software and financial systems required
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
