Skanska is searching for a dynamic Quality Manager in Glen Rose, TX. This is a great opportunity to start a career with a company that builds things that matter and values its team. We are proud to share our culture of diversity and inclusion.

Our work makes a clear contribution to society and the environment around us. We build in many different verticals. Whether we are building schools to provide inspiring spaces for learning, roads to connect communities, or hospitals to care for patients, it all contributes to our purpose – we build for a better society.

Skanska's values —Be Better Together, Act Ethically and Transparently, Commit to Customer, and Care for Life—are deeply engrained in how we work, which is why our values support and drive our D&I efforts.

The Quality Manager I is an on-site technical and administrative resource who supports senior Field and Project Managers in all quality-control activities. Working under direct supervision of senior site leadership or a more senior Quality Manager, this role performs routine inspections, material identification, reporting on conforming and non-conforming work, and leads quality meetings with internal staff and trade partners. The Quality Manager I may also oversee an Assistant Quality Manager and is expected to be a proactive, flexible team player who helps mitigate construction errors and advance quality objectives to support timely Substantial Completion.

In day-to-day operations the Quality Manager I reads and interprets construction plans, drawings, and specifications to determine acceptance criteria and ensure materials, equipment, and field installations meet contractual requirements. They draft RFIs for quality and constructability issues, assist in scheduling third‑party and AHJ inspections, create job-specific quality tracking tools, and participate in pre-installation and VDC constructability reviews. The role requires documenting inspections and quality activities—often using platforms like Procore—and maintaining strong relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors, and inspectors to resolve issues efficiently.
