Intern, Electrical Engineering

Southern Star is currently seeking highly motivated and energetic students or recent graduates to join our team as summer interns. The Electrical Engineering Intern is exposed to a variety of project-based assignments and will receive mentorship, detailed orientation and training, and valuable work assignments. This internship provides the opportunity to participate on tasks related to design, analysis, test, and systems engineering. Activities can include but are not limited to data analysis, continuous improvement, processing cause and corrective actions for non-conformances, and maintaining production work instructions. Interns will typically support and shadow experienced engineers in the day-to-day workings of engineering, performance on assignments, operations, and will have unique assignments that support larger projects as they complete their day-to-day tasks. They may participate in additional activities or events, allowing them to build a strong network within the Southern Star community and with fellow interns.

Will you be the next talented individual to join our team?

• →Support engineering teams with project planning, equipment specifications, and design documentation.
• →Gain exposure to industrial automation systems, including PLC, SCADA, and process control technologies.
• →Collect and analyze operational data to assist with troubleshooting, optimization, and engineering studies.
• →Participate in cross-functional meetings and field visits to learn how engineering solutions support safe and reliable natural gas operations.

• You must be at least 18 years old by the start of the summer internship assignment.
• You must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 after each completed semester/term.
• You must be authorized to work in the United States.
• You must be entering your junior or senior year of your degree program.
• You must be currently pursuing a Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering discipline.
