Hot Mill Day Electrical Technician

Perform electrical and electronic repair and periodic maintenance on equipment.

• →Maintenance and repair of all electrical devices on the line.
• →Identify, design, and implement changes/upgrades which will increase the productivity or reliability of the process.
• →Maintain continuity between shifts and keep workgroup up to date on changes affecting the department and mill operations.
• →Coordinate and implement project work. 

• Strong Understanding of the TCOS Program.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of mathematics (geometry, trigonometry)
• Strong teamwork focus
• Understanding of electrical safety practices.
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments with production needs
• Ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish.
• Understanding of industrial network and communication protocols.
• Understanding of variable frequency drives.
• Strong electrical knowledge of high and low-voltage electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, breakers and power distribution systems, motors, motor control equipment, instrumentation, and PLCs.
• Available any time day or night to take calls and assist with mill issues.
• Ability to teach and develop electrical technicians
• Advanced abilities using PCs and common software and utilities.

Preferred: 

• Electrical maintenance experience in an industry setting
