Regular Schedule: Monday - Thursday (10 hours/days)

Responsibilities

  • →Fabricate, assemble, build, wire, and test industrial control panels.
  • →Responsible for shop floor quality control, including inspection, testing, documentation, and UL certification requirements.
  • →Check-in and track project material.
  • →Communicate with shop supervisor, project managers, engineers, and customers to resolve issues.
  • →Ensure internal and client defined standards and scope are maintained.
  • →Assist with managing shop supplies and project inventory.
  • →Performs other duties as required.
  • →Analyze and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and physical layout drawings.

Requirements

Hands-on experience in fabricating, building, wiring, testing, and inspecting control panels:

 

  • Ability to wire using elementaries and point to point wiring diagrams.
  • Skilled in providing mechanical build (layout of backplate, drilling, tapping, component layout)
  • Ability to use appropriate hand tools and power tools.
  • In-depth comprehension of common electrical components such as breakers, disconnect switches, starters, relays, timers, PLCs, VFDs, contactors, overloads, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of UL508A and NEC. Experience building and inspecting panels to these standards.
  • Proficient understanding of circuits and industrial automation electronics.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety rules and procedures, including OSHA.
  • Strong attention to detail, with an ability to work carefully and accurately.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

5-10 years of experience in Industrial Automation Control Panel fabrication and wiring for panels incorporating industrial IO, PLC and VFD automation panels.

 

  • Must be able to lift and move up to a 50-pound load.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (majority of work will be conducted from a standing position).
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
