Responsibilities

Ever wonder how insurance fraud investigations work behind the scenes? As a Claims Specialist - Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Intern, you'll work alongside experienced investigators to research suspicious claims, uncover critical facts, and help identify potential fraud across multiple lines of business.
This isn't a typical desk internship. You'll analyze information, investigate red flags, gather evidence, and contribute to real-world cases that protect both our organization and our customers.
What You'll Be Doing
🔎 Investigate suspicious activity
- Conduct research and intelligence gathering related to potential insurance fraud.
- Review claims, policy, underwriting, and other transactions to identify fraud indicators.
🧩 Connect the pieces
- Analyze facts, spot patterns, and uncover inconsistencies.
- Evaluate evidence and help build investigative case files.
🤝 Collaborate with experts
- Partner with SIU investigators, Claims professionals, and internal business partners.
- Work with external resources and investigative databases to support ongoing inquiries.
📊 Turn research into action
- Document findings and communicate investigative insights.
- Support fraud detection initiatives and special projects designed to strengthen fraud prevention efforts.
