Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Resident Assistant will provide support to Hope House residents and create a hospitable and safe environment in the shelter. The hours for this position are: Full time (40hours/week): Sunday-Thursday 10:45 p.m. - 7:15 a.m.

Responsibilities

→Provide support to shelter residents.

→Monitor the activities of the residents within the shelter environment. Complete daily Shift log checklist during your shift. Review and record the Communication Log each shift.

→Conduct security wanding upon resident admission, as well as random wand checks.

→Monitor the physical facility by making rounds every half hour and conducting periodic inspections to ensure rooms are clean, facility is secure and that clients are abiding by house rules.

→Make referrals to alternative emergency shelter providers when Program beds are unavailable.

→Maintain basic record keeping responsibilities. This includes performing electronic intakes in the database and completing accurate time sheets in a timely manner in ADP

→Check your individual work email daily.

→Attend and participate in monthly Staff meetings/Resident meetings.

→Attend relevant In-Service training/conferences, as requested.

→Complete all mandatory training (in-person and online) in a timely manner.

→Clean linens, maintain cleanliness of the facility (inside and perimeter).

→Other duties as assigned.
