• Clean kennels and cages and keep up with laundry while maintaining sanitation standards
• Keep treatment and exam areas clean and stocked, following infection control protocols
• Help with patient comfort tasks such as bedding, enrichment, and calming routines
• Assist technicians and veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients from intake through discharge
• Use low-stress handling techniques that keep patients safe and happy
• Accurately document patient care and treatments in the medical record
• Collaborate with the team to keep the workflow efficient and the hospital culture positive

• Previous kennel, animal care, or veterinary experience, a plus
• A positive, supportive approach and a belief that great results come from teamwork and mutual respect
• Empathy for clients, coworkers, and yourself
• Comfort with low-stress handling, or a willingness to learn it
• A readiness to jump into the occasional cat rodeo
• A sense of humor (life is short; smile while you still have teeth)
• Attention to detail in cleaning, organization, and record-keeping
• Eagerness to learn and grow as a Kennel Assistant
