Registered Veterinary Technician
Quick Summary
Who we are: Cat Care Clinic is Hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician!
What We Offer
~2 min readFor almost 30 years, Cat Care Clinic has cared for Indianapolis cats from the same neighborhood. We were the second feline-only general practice in the country, and the first in Indiana, and many of our clients have trusted us through generations of cats.
We’re a one-doctor practice with a small, close-knit team. We’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician who wants to use their full skill set, has a soft spot for cats, and wants to work somewhere their license is respected.
- 100% feline patients, so every skill you build is a cat skill
- Low Stress Handling® is the standard for every patient, every visit
- Your license is used and respected, not just listed on your badge
- Leaders who listen, including a practice manager who is an RVT herself
- A small, supportive team with no drama and real accountability
- A predictable Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holiday hours
- Real lunch breaks
- A culture where people ask for help, offer help, and keep learning together
- Take thorough histories, vitals, and assessments for feline patients
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
- Induce and monitor anesthesia, and manage recovery for surgical and dental procedures
- Take high-quality radiographs and run in-house lab work
- Perform sedated medical grooming, a service provided by our veterinary nurses
- Explain care plans, medications, and discharge instructions to clients clearly and compassionately
- Keep accurate, thorough medical records
- Graduation from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program (required)
- Indiana Registered Veterinary Technician credential, or eligibility for it (preferred)
- Confident, gentle feline handling skills; Low Stress Handling or Fear Free experience is a plus
- Strong anesthesia monitoring and dental support skills
- Solid vet tech skills, including venipuncture, IV catheters, lab procedures, and radiology
- Clear, kind communication with clients and teammates
- Empathy for clients, coworkers, and yourself
- A team-first mindset and a willingness to jump in where needed
- A love of learning and helping others learn
- A positive attitude, because with the right cattitude, anything is pawsible
If you’re a Registered Veterinary Technician who loves cats and wants your skills and license to be truly valued, we’d love to meet you. Come build your career with a small team that cares deeply about its patients, its clients, and each other.
Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are core values at Cat Care Clinic and Vetcor. We’re committed to building an inclusive, equitable workplace where every team member feels safe being their authentic self, truly belongs, and is empowered to reach their full potential.
