Veterinary Technician

• Join an established small animal practice with more than 47 years of service to the community
• Work alongside a collaborative two-doctor veterinary team

• →Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
• →Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
• →Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge
• →Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• →Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and diagnostic sample collection
• →Obtain high-quality radiographs while maintaining appropriate imaging standards
• →Perform in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, fecal testing, and more
• →Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
• →Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during procedures and maintain accurate records
• →Provide patient monitoring and supportive care, including TPRs, pain scoring, wound care, and recovery support
• →Use Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to help keep patients safe and comfortable
• →Educate clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive care
• →Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts
• →Document patient care and treatments clearly and efficiently
• →Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and exam areas
• →Follow established infection-control protocols
• →Collaborate with the team to maintain an efficient workflow and positive hospital culture
• →Participate in ongoing training and professional growth opportunities

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred
• Experienced veterinary assistant/technician candidates are welcome
• Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Previous experience in client care and communication
• Previous surgical experience
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint skills
• Knowledge of preventive care and vaccines
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring, induction, and recovery
• Competency in surgical and emergency patient care, including IV catheter placement
• Strong technical skills in venipuncture, phlebotomy, sample collection, and laboratory procedures
• Experience with radiology, diagnostics, and basic imaging techniques
• Understanding of pharmacology and medication administration
• Experience assisting with surgery and providing patient nursing care
• Ability to accurately triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories
• Commitment to low-stress or Fear Free patient handling techniques
• Clear, professional, and compassionate communication with clients and teammates
• Strong attention to detail and accurate medical documentation skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced veterinary environment
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• A collaborative, team-first mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed
• Commitment to continued learning, growth, and professional development
• A positive attitude, reliability, and genuine passion for veterinary medicine
