East Penn Manufacturing is seeking a Safety Intern to support the Health and Safety team. This internship provides hands-on experience with safety audits and inspections, control of hazardous energy, and fire and emergency operations within a manufacturing environment. The Intern will work closely with safety specialists, technicians and other Health and Safety professionals while gaining valuable experience in workplace safety and safety management systems.

Responsibilities

  • →Assist with safety audits and inspections
  • →Conduct job hazard analysis
  • →Create and update lockout / tagout (LOTO) documentation
  • →Assist with data analysis and reporting
  • →Collaborate with safety, industrial hygiene, medical, engineering and manufacturing personnel on project-based initiatives
  • →Assist with administrative tasks and file management

Requirements

  • Full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree or concentration in:
    • Safety
    • Occupational Health and Safety
    • Safety Management
    • Fire Protection
    • Engineering
    • Related safety, medical or healthcare field
  • Sophomore standing or higher preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
