Primary Function: Responsible for administering electrocardiograms, applying Holter monitors and carrying out various office and clerical duties.

Responsibilities

-Perform electrocardiograms daily for emergency and routine care to inpatients and outpatients.

-Apply Holter monitor to patients explaining how they are used.

-Edit all EKG reports and transcribe all Holter and echocardiogram reports.

-Assist RNs with stress and nuclear testing.

-Act as preceptor in training new staff members.

-Schedule cardiology testing for inpatients and outpatients.

-Input medical data into the computer for billing purposes.

-Generate and prepare unedited EKG reports daily for interpretation by cardiologist.

-Maintain and clean equipment and prepare it for the next shift.

-Transports patients to and from room for testing.

-Perform all other related duties as assigned.
