Electrical Supervisor

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Work with Reliability Engineer to analyze downtime reports in order to delete trends and correct systems of problems before they affect production; 
• Monitor planned maintenance system (SAP) for completion of electrical maintenance;
• Be a role model in Safety performance for the electrical shop as well as others; 
• Work with Planner on electrical repairs and preventive maintenance of process equipment; 
• Maintenance of the Quality System policies and procedures; 
• Creation or review of all work instructions in department for operational content; 
• Participate in appropriate safety training for all assigned employees
• Interface with MSHA and other governing health and safety agencies at local and federal level as required
• Coordinate and monitor the activities of all electrical employees assigned
• Ensure preventative action is taken to avoid the occurrence of nonconformities relating to product or process or to the quality system

Job Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Master Electrician or related field, or a high school education with a specialized trades training in mechanical, electrical, maintenance shop, plumbing and/or welding crafts, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 5+ years industrial, mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• 2+ years of supervisory experience; industry background in heavy manufacturing related; mining, paper mills, steel plants, refining, utilities, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants industries preferred
• Positive & proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions; working knowledge of material handling feeders, convey or belt systems, and general knowledge pumping systems; experience in PLC or Wonderware troubleshooting is required
• Strong computer skills; experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP and Microsoft Project experience is a plus
• Strong interpersonal/people skills; results driven; self-starter; able to initiate and be willing to hold others accountable for achieving company and site objectives
