Job Summary

Carnegie Robotics is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the

development, launch, and continuous improvement of advanced electromechanical products. This

individual will play a key role in driving manufacturing readiness, supporting new product

introduction (NPI), and ensuring high-quality production processes across complex robotic systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for electromechanical assemblies
  • Interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives

What You’ll Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5–10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience with electronics manufacturing and assembly
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics

How You’ll Stand Out

  • You have experience with embedded Linux systems, microcontrollers, or industrial sensor integration
  • Experience with PCB assemblies, cable/harness builds
  • Background with electromechanical products
  • Exposure to robotics or complex systems manufacturing
  • You have work experience in robotics, automation, or low-volume high-mix manufacturing environments
