The Buyer (Procurement) manages sourcing and purchasing activities for a Carrier manufacturing facility, securing materials and services at the best total cost while building and managing the supply base.

Negotiates prices, terms and contracts with suppliers.

Tracks purchase orders and supplier performance.

Identifies savings opportunities and supports supplier development.

Partners with Planning and Quality to resolve supply issues.

Ensures compliance with Carrier's sourcing policies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
Proven negotiation, contracting and supplier-management skills.
Experience managing purchase orders and supplier performance in an ERP system.
Ability to identify savings opportunities and support supplier development.
Working knowledge of US trade compliance and USMCA sourcing preferred.
Experience with manufacturing procurement in high-growth environments.
Proficiency with ERP purchasing systems.

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.
