About the Role
~1 min readAs a BMS Controls person, this role is responsible for professional in Sales Solution Architect, Plan & Spec responsible for project schedule updates, report documentation, and acts as the primary contact with customers. Resolves customer issues and escalates more complex issues as needed.
Responsibilities

Revenue, Margin & Collections
• Own regional revenue recognition — ensure billing milestones are raised accurately and on schedule against project progress.
• Track and protect gross margin on regional orders against approved project costing; flag and act on margin erosion early.
• Own collections and aging targets for the region — drive follow-up on outstanding receivables and reduce DSO.
• Maintain the regional project/backlog tracker — milestones, unbilled revenue, collections, and aging — in the standard dashboard cadence.
Design
• Own or review technical design output for regional projects — DDC panel design, BACnet/Modbus/LonWorks protocol selection, and sequence-of-programming for BMS and CPM scopes.
• Ensure design compliance with applicable standards (ASHRAE, NABH/HTM for healthcare projects, BEE benchmarks) before handoff to execution.
Presales
• Support the sales team on regional pursuits — technical walkthroughs, capability presentations, and BOQ/costing inputs for new opportunities, including data-center and hospital-grade BMS pursuits.
• Prepare design-stage estimates and technical proposals to support bid submissions within the region.
Requirements
~1 min read• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related discipline (Mechanical with strong BMS exposure also considered).
• 8–12 years of experience in BMS/Controls, with meaningful exposure to design and presales, and demonstrated ownership of commercial metrics (revenue, margin, collections).
• Strong working knowledge of DDC panels, BACnet/Modbus/LonWorks protocols, and chiller plant/AHU sequence of operations.
• Demonstrated experience tracking and reporting on revenue recognition, margin, and receivables/aging.
• Commercial acumen — revenue recognition discipline, margin protection, collections follow-through
• Technical design capability across BMS and CPM scopes
• Presales and proposal support — costing, BOQ development, client-facing technical presentations
• Structured reporting and dashboard-driven performance tracking
• Working knowledge of BMS/CPM technical standards (ASHRAE, NABH/HTM for healthcare projects, BEE benchmarks)
• Accuracy and timeliness of regional revenue recognition against milestones
• Gross margin realization vs. approved project costing
• Collections and aging reduction (DSO) for the region
• Design turnaround time and compliance rate for regional projects
• Presales support quality — bid win rate and proposal turnaround time on supported pursuits
