The Quality Auditor is an hourly role responsible for inspecting and auditing products and processes to ensure they meet Carrier's quality standards. Working under general supervision, this role performs in-process and final audits, documents results and escalates non-conformances for containment.

• →Performs in-process, final and layered process audits against control plans and standards.

• →Inspects products and components using gauges, fixtures and measurement equipment.

• →Documents audit results, defects and non-conformances accurately in quality systems.

• →Identifies, tags and segregates non-conforming material and escalates for disposition.

• →Supports containment activities and verifies effectiveness of corrective actions.

• →Partners with production teams to resolve quality issues at the source.

• →Maintains calibration status and proper use of inspection equipment.

• →Supports continuous-improvement and defect-reduction initiatives.

• High School diploma/GED

• 5+ years of quality inspection or auditing experience in a manufacturing environment.

• 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

• Ability to stand, bend, reach and perform repetitive motions for the full shift; lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime based on production needs.

• Technical/Associate degree or quality certification

• Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent certification.

• Experience with CMM, vision systems or advanced measurement equipment.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and layered process audits.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, control plans and inspection instructions.

• Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, fixtures).

• Working knowledge of quality systems, non-conformance handling and documentation.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to make sound judgments on product acceptance.
