Regional Ethics & Compliance Officer (RECO), Southeast Asia and Pacific (SEAP)

The RECO for SEAP is responsible for leading and executing Carrier’s Ethics & Compliance (E&C) program across Southeast Asia and Australia as well as supporting execution of Carrier’s international trade compliance across Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa.

The role ensures effective implementation of compliance requirements, promotes a strong culture of integrity, and drives a risk-based compliance framework to prevent, detect, and respond to violations of law, the Code of Ethics, and company policies.

• Lead development and deployment of E&C programs aligned with global standards and risk profile
• Provide strategic support, guidance and direction to business on compliance risks and mitigation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and program enhancements
• Monitor program effectiveness through employee and business engagement

• Design and implement targeted compliance training and communication programs
• Promote a culture of integrity and ethical behavior across all levels of the organization
• Promote a “speak-up” culture and ensure effective operation of reporting channels, including anonymous reporting systems
• Lead initiatives to prevent and monitor retaliation

• Lead or oversee investigations into alleged violations of law, the Code, and company policies
• Ensure proper logging, classification, investigation, and closure of cases in the case management system
• Ensure investigations are conducted in a timely, confidential, and independent manner
• Oversee remediation actions and ensure timely closure of compliance issues

• Conduct site assessments/compliance reviews across the region
• Support third party oversight through visits and training for sales intermediaries and their sponsors, etc.
• Build, manage, and develop a network of local Ethics & Compliance Officers

Senior Manager P5

Singapore or Malaysia (local citizens)

Report directly to Director, Deputy Ethics and Compliance Leader, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa

• Bachelor’s degree in law
• 5+ years of experience in compliance, legal, audit, or investigations
• Experience in conducting investigations and managing compliance programs
• Good understanding of anti-corruption, antitrust, and regulatory frameworks
• Experience in international trade compliance, including export controls, economic sanctions, import regulations, etc., will be a plus

• Strong influencing capabilities across a matrix organization
• High integrity, independence, and sound judgment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Pragmatic approach with strong business acumen
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
• Fluent verbal and written English
• Fluent verbal and written Chinese will be a plus
