OtherTalent Manager

Build the talent engine behind every great hire and every great retention story. You'll lead recruitment and staffer success end-to-end — attracting the right people, supporting them once they're here, and building the systems that make both possible at scale.

About the Role

~1 min read

You'll head up CAS's Talent function, reporting to the Director of Operations and owning two halves of the same equation: bringing in the right people, and making sure they thrive once they're hired. You'll set the recruitment strategy, run the funnel, and build pipelines for the roles that come up again and again — then turn around and design the programs that help staffers grow, perform, and stay.

You'll lead the Talent team, partner with department heads on hiring plans, work with HR/Operations on the policies that shape a staffer's experience, and bring data discipline to all of it — tracking time-to-hire, retention, and performance trends, then using what you learn to keep tightening the system.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who's done recruitment and people success before and wants to own both at the strategic level.

  • You think in funnels and feedback loops — you don't just hire, you build the system that hires

  • You've sat on both sides: recruiting top talent and helping them succeed once they're in

  • You can move from a workforce-planning conversation to a 1:1 coaching moment without losing the thread

  • You're data-driven but human-first — metrics inform you, but people decisions still need judgment

  • You believe culture isn't a slogan; it's the sum of how leaders show up every day

Build the engine that brings in great people.

  • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies that meet current and future staffing needs

  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle — job posting through onboarding — and own candidate experience

  • Build and maintain pipelines for critical and recurring roles

  • Set and track recruitment KPIs (time-to-hire, source quality, offer acceptance)

Help the people we hire thrive.

  • Design and lead initiatives that help staffers excel and grow in their roles

  • Monitor performance, provide feedback, and design clear development pathways

  • Identify drivers of satisfaction, motivation, and retention — and act on them

  • Champion a culture aligned with company values and high performance

Lead the Talent team.

  • Manage and develop the Talent team; set clear goals, provide mentorship, and grow the next leader

  • Partner with department heads to align hiring with workforce planning

  • Collaborate with HR/Operations to ensure policies and processes enable success

Lead with data; tune with judgment.

  • Track and report on time-to-hire, performance trends, and retention metrics

  • Continuously improve recruitment and staffer success processes based on data and feedback

  • Surface insights to the Director of Operations and broader leadership team

  • Proven experience in recruitment leadership and employee success/engagement leadership

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence across levels

  • Strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution

  • Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive, and high-performance work environment

  • Comfortable working with data — KPIs, dashboards, retention analyses

  • Experience leading and developing a team

  • Confident written and spoken English
