Seasonal Warehouse Associate

Catbird is seeking temporary full-time Warehouse Assistants to join us for the holiday season.

Willingness to be cross-trained across various departments to assist with operational demands and capable of pivoting based on evolving operational needs

Pick, pack, and ship e-commerce and retail orders using a handheld device
-
Receive and put away merchandise
-
Carefully handle and accurately pack small, delicate jewelry items (e.g. necklaces, rings, earrings)

Assembly and prep work (build shipping boxes, label and package product, kit gifts)

Ability to recognize order issues and item quantity/quality issues and report it immediately to leadership team

Maintain standard productivity level while ensuring accuracy

Develop familiarity and knowledge of company’s product line

Label and package delicate product, ensuring label and quantity accuracy in adherence to the packing guidelines

Inspect product for quality issues

Replenish stock from overstock locations into pick bins

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily packing goals
-
Must be able to work independently

May be required to squat, frequently bend, or utilize a step stool to retrieve stock located at various heights
-
Some tasks require the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time with occasional walking; while other tasks require the need to sit for 75% of your shift; you will need to use both hands and wrists for repetitive motion

Promote a respectful environment through collaborative teamwork and maintaining personal ownership of results

Keep a clean and organized work station; replenish stock supplies as needed

Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and have good communication skills

Basic mathematical proficiency is required

Adhere to our seasonal time and attendance policy, safety policy, and behavioral policy

Must be available to work different shifts; start times vary- as early as 7 a.m. or as late as 7:30 p.m.

Great at (and enjoy!) making a pretty package quickly

Prior warehouse experience is desired

Pallet jack handling is not necessary but a plus
-
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
-
Prior knowledge of warehouse data system (WMS) is desired
-
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with others
