Yard Attendant

CB Mining is an independent family-owned corporation that is growing. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Washington, PA, CB Mining focuses on product support for Longwall mines. Established from part of the Caterpillar mining group, CB Mining has grown from 2 locations in Washington, PA to now 4 locations, with additions in Marion, IL and Tuscaloosa, AL, We provide customers with rebuild services, CST gearbox rebuilds, welding and fabrications services, service exchange units, custom made cabling solutions, life cycle services including oil sampling and vibration analysis, robust inventory support, compatibility services and underground technical support. We also provide extensive machining, chroming, laser cladding, and hydraulic repairs through our valued partner Cleveland Brothers. Position Summary:

We are looking for a hard-working individual that is able to complete all physical tasks while embracing customer satisfaction. A Yard Attendant must be able to effectively communicate any issues or questions to management and peers. CB Mining will be dependent on the Yard Attendant to prepare and ensure quality of equipment for customers. This individual must be open to potential overtime and occasional weekend call-ins.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Fill out accurate shipping and receiving paperwork and photograph incoming and outgoing equipment and document
• Prepare equipment to customer specifications before shipping.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard environment.
• Able to work productively in an industrial environment that is subject to significant work conditions.
• Able to operate forklift and rental equipment for loading and unloading of parts and/or equipment.
• Assist in maintaining all equipment utilized in the CB Mining yard.
• Assist in coordinating trucking for outgoing equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

•  Able to withstand workplace environmental conditions including noise, heat, cold, and atmospheric exposures
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Knowledge of operating heavy equipment, loading and unloading tractor trailers, and transportation of heavy equipment a plus.
• Effective customer skills
• Valid Drivers License
• Graduate of a technical school, military school, or relevant working experience acceptable to the company.

About Us: Founded in 2013, CB Mining is a family-owned company that was divested from Caterpillar. It started with 89 employees and 1 location, that historically focused on customer support, underground Technical Service Reps, Longwall AFC, BSL, and Crusher rebuilds. Today we have 2 locations in Washington, PA, Marion, IL, and Tuscaloosa, AL where we continue the legacy on superb customer support for both Longwall and R &P underground mining.
