Legal Consultant (1-Year Contract)

The Legal Consultant will support Chanel Thailand’s day-to-day legal, compliance and governance matters on a 1-year contract basis. The role is intended for a commercially minded Thai-qualified lawyer with approximately 4–5 years of experience who can independently handle routine legal work, including contract review and stakeholder communication.

This position will act as a practical business partner to internal teams, helping the Legal function deliver timely, clear and risk-based advice while supporting operational efficiency, documentation quality and compliance with applicable laws and CHANEL policies.

• Independently review, draft and revise routine commercial agreements, including indirect procurement, IT, services, marketing, retail, vendor and confidentiality agreements, in Thai and English.
• Support contract negotiation by identifying legal and commercial risks, proposing practical revisions and coordinating with internal stakeholders, vendors and external counsel where required.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to business functions on general commercial, operational, retail, employment-adjacent, consumer, technology and administrative matters.
• Assist with corporate and governance matters, including board/shareholder documentation, licenses, registrations, powers of attorney and corporate records.
• Support business ethics, compliance, internal control and risk management processes, including policy implementation, training materials and follow-up actions.
• Manage routine contacts and filings with authorities, including police, courts, regulators and other government officials, with appropriate preparation of supporting documents.
• Assist with brand protection matters, including coordination with internal stakeholders, external counsel and authorities on counterfeit, enforcement and related matters.
• Support data privacy matters and DPO, including PDPA-related document review.
• Maintain legal trackers, templates, contract databases and other legal operations tools to ensure visibility, follow-up and timely delivery of legal support.

• →A Bachelor's Degree in Law
• →About 4–5 years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably from a reputable law firm, multinational company or retail / FMCG / luxury / technology-related business.
• →Strong experience in reviewing and revising commercial contracts in English and Thai, with ability to work independently on routine matters.
• →Experience in data privacy, compliance, corporate governance, regulatory coordination or brand protection will be an advantage.
• →Excellent command of written and spoken English and Thai, including ability to revise legal documents in English and communicate confidently with regional teams.
• →Strong legal drafting, issue spotting, risk assessment and stakeholder management skills.
• →Practical, solution-oriented and able to balance legal protection with business needs and timelines.
• →Organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple matters independently.
