Assistant Dean of Assessment and Evaluation

• Provide leadership and oversight for the CCLCM Portfolio Assessment System and competency-based assessment framework.
• Direct the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of student assessment processes, policies, and standards.
• Oversee annual review and alignment of educational program objectives, milestones, assessment instruments, and assessment mapping.
• Monitor learner performance outcomes and recommend improvements to assessment practices and progression standards.
• Serve as ex-officio member on Medical Student Performance and Review Committee (MSPRC) and help to train new MSPRC faculty members.
• Support communication to students from the MSPRC, including the annual review of all Portfolio Performance letters, as well as Formal Performance Improvement Plan monitoring.
• Lead initiatives related to professionalism assessment, clinical skills assessment, and learner development.
• Chair the College Assessment and Outcomes Committee and collaborate with assessment leaders across the School of Medicine.
• Develop faculty and student programs related to assessment, feedback, professional development, and portfolio-based learning.

• Lead educational program evaluation and outcomes assessment efforts across CCLCM.
• Oversee educational analytics, data governance, and educational outcomes reporting.
• Utilize institutional data to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends, support strategic decision-making, and inform curricular improvement.
• Direct educational research and evaluation initiatives related to learner outcomes and program effectiveness.
• Prepare and disseminate reports on educational quality, learner achievement, and institutional outcomes.
• Serve on curriculum oversight committees and provide analytic support for educational decision-making.

• Provide leadership for accreditation readiness, compliance monitoring, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with institutional leaders and committees to ensure ongoing compliance with LCME and other accreditation standards.
• Lead preparation of accreditation reports, self-study activities, and supporting documentation.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through data-informed evaluation and action planning.

• Serve as a strategic advisor to educational leaders on assessment, evaluation, accreditation, and educational analytics.
• Support faculty development initiatives related to assessment, educational quality, program evaluation, and educational scholarship.
• Contribute to institutional strategic planning and educational innovation initiatives.

• PhD, MD/DO, or equivalent terminal degree.
• Demonstrated expertise in medical education assessment, program evaluation, accreditation, educational research, or educational analytics.
• Experience with LCME accreditation processes and continuous quality improvement systems.
• Experience in educational leadership within undergraduate medical education or health professions education.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use educational data to inform decision-making and drive program improvement.
