The Section of Clinical Cardiology is often times the area where patients first have access to specialized inpatient and outpatient heart care and long-term management of their conditions. We offer the latest innovations in cardiac care and clinical therapies to patients of all ages. We provide state-of-the-art tests and procedures to help make an accurate diagnosis and create a treatment plan. We see patients with very common heart problems, such as angina, artery problems, valvular heart disease, and heart failure. We also treat patients with some very rare forms of heart disease, including those who have been told by other doctors that their condition cannot be treated.

As a Clinical Assistant at Indian River Hospital’s Cardiology Practice, you will assist your fellow LPNs, RNs and other healthcare staff in providing exceptional patient support and attention. This position is a great introduction to the Cleveland Clinic enterprise before exploring further our numerous educational or professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
