The Certified Athletic Trainer recognizes, manages and rehabilitates injuries to professional, amateur and recreational athletes. Additionally, this caregiver provides techniques for prevention of injuries. Located in Dover, Ohio, Union Hospital is an award-winning community hospital serving the communities of eastern Ohio. Community and personalized care are at the forefront of Union Hospital’s values.
Caregivers in this role will gain experience and knowledge working alongside experienced caregivers and under the supervision of a physician. This experience could prepare a caregiver for a potential full-time role in the future.
Requirements
~1 min read- Requires full body motion including handling and lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- May be required to drive to other locations.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
