Cleveland Clinic is recognized as one of the top hospitals in the country. At Cleveland Clinic, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.

Cleveland Clinic’s Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) offers the most advanced technology for diagnosing and monitoring lung diseases. Staffed by pulmonologists, respiratory therapists and technicians, we screen patients at risk for lung disease, evaluate their symptoms and the effect of lung disease on lung function, assess the value of respiratory treatments, and monitor for reactions to drugs that are known to damage the lungs.

  • Maintain adequate levels of supplies used for testing.
  • Provide educational in-services to caregivers.
  • Perform blood gas puncture and analysis per Cleveland Clinic competency training.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient response during and after testing.
  • Documents results accurately and promptly report testing results.
  • Determine testing reference ranges by entering accurate demographics.
  • Recognize and correct invalid or unreasonable test results with an understanding of current ATS/ERS standards.
  • Provide basic respiratory education to patients.
