J62 is a dynamic, 24-bed Cardiovascular Telemetry Stepdown Unit dedicated to delivering specialized care for patients recovering from advanced cardiac surgeries and complex cardiovascular conditions. Our team provides expert care for patients following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), minimally invasive and robotic heart surgery, valve repair and replacement, ventricular assist device (VAD) implantation, total artificial heart procedures, aneurysm repair, maze procedures, and other innovative cardiac interventions. As a fast-paced, high-acuity unit, J62 offers exceptional opportunities for nurses to build clinical expertise while working with cutting-edge cardiovascular therapies and technology.

In addition to caring for post-surgical patients, J62 treats a diverse cardiac population, including individuals with heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, and those requiring pacemaker or implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) procedures. As a designated unit for advanced mechanical circulatory support, J62 specializes in the management of left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) and total artificial hearts, making it an ideal environment for nurses seeking professional growth, advanced cardiovascular experience, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients with complex cardiac needs.

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
