Join our team with a newly updated, competitive starting rate of $18.00 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential for the Midnight–8 AM shift, offering even greater earning potential. This onsite position allows you to support residents in building independence, emotional strength, and daily living skills while making a lasting impact on their lives.

Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Residence Counselor, you'll play a hands-on role in creating a safe, structured, and encouraging environment for residents. Your daily work will include:
- →Supporting residents with daily living activities and personal goal development
- →Building trust through active listening, empathy, and clear communication
- →Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to carry out individualized care plans
- →Leading or participating in group activities that strengthen social and community skills
- →Documenting progress, interventions, and observations accurately
- →Attending ongoing training to expand your knowledge and enhance your care approach
Your presence will directly influence residents' growth, confidence, and overall well-being.
To excel in this role, you should bring:
- 4 years of group home experience
- A High School Diploma
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to connect with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Comfort with documentation tools and basic technology
- Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a resident-focused mindset
- Possession of a valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five-year driving record that meets organizational standards and qualifies for insurance coverage.
