Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking a Full-Time Residential Team Leader to support and oversee residential services in Vineland, New Jersey.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for experienced Residential Counselors, Residential Supervisors, Behavioral Health Team Leaders, Group Home Managers, Residential Program Coordinators, and Mental Health Professionals who enjoy mentoring staff, supporting residents in recovery, and ensuring high-quality service delivery in a community-based behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Residential Team Leader, you'll oversee daily operations within our residential behavioral health program while ensuring residents receive quality, recovery-oriented services in a safe and supportive environment.
- →Supervise residential staff and day-to-day program operations
- →Provide leadership, coaching, and support to direct care team members
- →Support recovery-oriented and person-centered residential services
- →Develop, monitor, and review individualized treatment and recovery plans
- →Coordinate care with treatment providers, case managers, community agencies, and support services
- →Facilitate resident meetings, recreational activities, and skill-building opportunities
- →Monitor program documentation and ensure compliance with agency and DMHAS standards
- →Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling needs, and emergency situations
- →Support quality improvement initiatives and program performance goals
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience with DMHAS programs, regulations, and standards
- Experience supervising residential behavioral health or group home staff
- Experience with treatment planning, psychiatric rehabilitation, and behavioral health services
- Knowledge of community mental health and recovery-oriented practices
- Experience supporting individuals living with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related mental health field
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a residential mental health, behavioral health, psychiatric rehabilitation, or group home setting
- Previous supervisory, leadership, or team lead experience
- Knowledge of community resources, behavioral health systems, and support services
- Valid New Jersey driver's license with an acceptable driving history
- Strong leadership, communication, and staff development abilities
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment environment
- Commitment to recovery-oriented care and client advocacy
