Included are process parameters like the reel winding and slitting tolerances. Material and/or printing defects can be detected by automatic camera inspection systems and are easily eliminated by the operators.

Now looking for energetic candidates to fill general production positions for day, night and weekend shifts.

Utilizing complex machinery and strong attention to detail, this position completes operations in finishing or press departments, inspects and packages labels and verifies the product meets quality and quantity standards set by the customer and CCL and for color, metrics and registration in an efficient manner that provides on time delivery to the customer.

 

Responsibilities

  • →Perform set up on multiple pieces of complex seaming equipment.
  • →Ensures proper validation sign-off of set up is complete prior to running a job.
  • →Seams (welds) labels according to specifications provided by the customer and CCL.
  • →Loads press rolls or other printed material into equipment.
  • →Unloads finished product and packages according to customer specifications.
  • →Completes final inspection of product prior to packaging.
  • →Correctly use staple guns and tape machines on a frequent basis.
  • →Precisely and safely measure, use and store chemicals used in production areas.
  • →Frequently operates manual pallet lifts/jacks and other lifting equipment as needed for material and product movement.
  • →Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
  • →Properly complete all documentation required on the computer and by hand to track the job.
  • →Properly use computer to enter/retrieve job specific information and complete/reference training documents.
  • →Perform tasks assigned by others in a diverse and varied work environment.
  • →Follows cGMP policy and Standard Operating Procedure to not cause rework or negatively impact the customer
  • →Other duties as assigned.

 

  • Good mechanical aptitude and skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals quickly and correctly.
  • Skill in practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
  • Skill in performing measurement operations with units in imperial and metric systems.
  • Ability to measure with exceptional accuracy using various measurement tools.
  • Able to read, interpret and follow documents such as work instructions, safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and maintenance instructions/manuals to properly perform work.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Willingness and ability to work with other team members and management.
  • Strong work ethic and good attitude towards work.
  • Honest, reliable team player.
  • Safety conscious and comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 6 months or more Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

 

Requirements

  • Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Regularly communicate in some manner either by speech/hearing or through written communication.
  • Regularly use of vision abilities including close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly work around moving machinery and heavy equipment.
  • Frequently required to push/pull.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently exposed to high-speed moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequently exposed to UV, strobing or flashing light.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, dust or airborne particles.
  • Regularly exposed to moderate noise level in the work environment.
