Alumni Outreach Team Member (Part-time)
WHY DOES THIS POSITION EXIST IN CCO?
CCO’s 10-year vision is to activate multiplying leaders toward the fulfillment of Jesus’ Great Commission. We intend to do this through our strategic priorities of activating missionary disciples on campus, beyond campus, and within CCO staff.
CCO has over thirty-five years of alumni that we desire to re-engage. Each of them has the potential to be a multiplying missionary disciple, reaching the world one person at a time, right where God has placed them. We are currently developing new programs, opportunities and supports and wish to offer these to our Alumni, re-engaging them with CCO. Executing excellent management skills, capturing essential details from our reconnections, will be key for this position in order to succeed in our mission.
Falling under the CCO Beyond alumni engagement strategy, and our tenet of “one person at a time,” this part-time position is focused on personally reaching out to CCO alumni to complete short one-on-one engagement meetings, mainly over video calls. Using the existing CCO engagement approach, the Alumni Outreach missionary will schedule, conduct, and document these meetings to strengthen CCO’s connection to our alumni. They will utilize the lens of intentional accompaniment to follow up these new personal connections with fitting invitations to opportunities as they appear in the CCO Beyond sphere.
This position provides a structured and relational approach to re-engaging CCO alumni with the hope of mobilizing them in evangelization for the renewal of the world.
WHAT DOES THIS POSITION DO FOR CCO?
- Proactively reach out to alumni via email, phone, or social media to schedule engagement meetings by video.
- Conduct 30-minute one-on-one meetings following CCO’s established Intentional Accompaniment approach.
- Document engagement notes and outcomes in CCO’s database (RE) for future follow-up.
- Provide reports on completed meetings, key takeaways, and engagement trends.
- Help alumni discern potential next steps in missionary discipleship, capitalizing on upcoming CCO Beyond initiatives.
- Receive referrals from alumni to reach alumni we have not yet reconnected with
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
We’re looking for a person who:
- Must have recent previous CCO missionary experience (minimum one year).
- Understands and aligns with CCO’s mission, tenets, and evangelization methods.
- Has strong relational ministry experience, with confidence in conducting one-on-one meetings.
- Is comfortable reaching out to alumni independently, with a proactive outreach mindset.
- Has strong organizational skills, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of engagement efforts.
- Has a passion for the vision of the Formation Department and is excited about mobilizing alumni.
- Has basic tech skills, including experience or willingness to learn email outreach and database entry (RE).
- All employees of CCO are required to participate in the mission of the New Evangelization within the Catholic Church and work toward the propagation of the Gospel. This includes taking the initiative to lead CCO Catholic Faith studies, share the kerygma (through tools like the Ultimate Relationship booklet), and/or participation in the evangelization efforts of CCO, including opportunities to participate in CCO Missions.
