Our Pediatrics Guilderland office is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities

→Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
→Maintain timely patient flow.
→Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
→Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
→Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
→Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
→Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

✓High school graduate or equivalent.

✓Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.

✓Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

✓Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.

✓Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.

✓Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.

✓Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.

✓Experience with Allscripts is a plus!
