An established and growing distributor in the building products industry is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a significant territory across Kentucky, Tennessee, and surrounding markets. This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity for a sales professional who thrives on driving growth, developing teams, and building strong industry relationships.
The successful candidate will oversee a multi-location operation, lead a network of independent sales representatives and sales personnel, and play a key role in executing an aggressive growth strategy.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide leadership and strategic direction for a regional sales organization spanning multiple warehouse and distribution locations.
- →Manage approximately 50 direct and indirect reports, including independent sales representatives and sales personnel.
- →Develop and execute sales strategies designed to achieve targeted growth objectives.
- →Drive approximately 20% annual sales growth through market expansion, customer development, and team performance.
- →Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing sales talent.
- →Strengthen relationships with key customers, builders, dealers, contractors, and channel partners.
- →Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure exceptional customer service and execution.
- →Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the building products sector.
Requirements
~1 min read- Proven sales leadership experience within the building products industry.
- Strong knowledge of one or more of the following product categories:
- Millwork
- Windows
- Doors
- Cabinetry
- Building materials and related products
- Experience managing large territories and multi-location sales organizations.
- Demonstrated success leading both direct and indirect sales teams.
- Established relationships within the residential construction and building products community.
- Active involvement with organizations such as:
- National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)
- Local and regional builder associations
- Millwork and building products industry networks
- Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
