CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system. As the founder of environmental reporting, we believe in transparency and the power of data to drive change.

Partnering with leaders in enterprise, capital, policy and science, we surface the information needed to enable Earth-positive decisions. We helped more than 24,800 companies and almost 1,000 cities, states and regions disclose their environmental impacts in 2024. Financial institutions with more than a quarter of the world’s institutional assets use CDP data to help inform investment and lending decisions.

Our team is truly global, united by our shared desire to build a world where people, planet and profit are balanced. Visit cdp.net or follow us @CDP to find out more.

Thought Leadership provides the environmental expertise that drives the evolution of CDP’s disclosure system and its impact. The team leads research and analysis of CDP data and other sources to generate insights that inform decisions across business, finance, and policy. Thought Leadership represents CDP in key stakeholder engagements and expert fora, spearheading strategic partnerships and projects, and contributing actively to the development and application of environmental science, standards, and frameworks.

The Sustainable Business team delivers CDPs thought leadership relating to the development of corporate and financial sustainable business practices. This involves leading the development of CDP’s approach to sustainable finance, resource management and circular economy, sectors, SMEs and other key business perspectives, and deploying the insights generated by the data to drive impact according to CDPs theory of change.
