The primary role of Mechanical Technician is to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve manufacturing and plant equipment in a safe, reliable, and cost-effective manner. This role will support production operations by performing preventive and predictive maintenance, equipment overhauls, troubleshooting, fabrication, and continuous improvement activities
Responsibilities

- →Follow all site safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
- →Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and utility equipment.
- →Troubleshoot mechanical failures and equipment performance issues.
- →Repair, replace, and rebuild pumps, gearboxes, shafts, bearings, seals, conveyors, motors, fans, and other production equipment.
- →Operate machine shop equipment including lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and related tools.
- →Fabricate and repair parts using welding and metalworking equipment.
- →Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- →Enter work order information, labor hours, and equipment history into SAP Maintenance Management System.
- →Maintain maintenance procedures, manuals, and records.
- →Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
- →Work effectively with electrical and instrumentation technicians.
- →Train and mentor less experienced technicians when required.
Requirements

- Minimum of 4 years of industrial maintenance experience or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Associate degree in Mechanical Technology or related field.
- Experience with SAP Maintenance Management Systems.
- Experience operating machine shop equipment.
- Multi-craft maintenance experience.
Candidates should possess experience in several of the following areas:
- Millwright work
- Welding and fabrication
- Pipefitting
- Rigging
- Sheet metal work
- Precision alignment
- Equipment rebuilding
- Mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Machine shop operations
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Required or ability to obtain:
- Confined Space Entry and Lock out/Tag out
- Mobile equipment certification (forklift, pallet jack, Scissor lift, JLG, etc.)
- Site maintenance training qualifications
- Periodic refresher and safety training requirements
