We have a full-time, benefited opening as a Sample Management Technician in our Bioanalytical Division in Lincoln, NE.
This position offers a consistent daytime schedule in an independent, nicotine-free work environment — ideal for someone who thrives on structured, process-driven work. This is a full-time, benefited entry-level role starting at $19.00 or $19.50 per hour based on experience.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Receive and check in biological samples with accuracy and care
- →Complete all required recordkeeping for check-in, sample transfer logs for chain of custody, and freezer logs
- →Communicate with clients or sites as needed for sample coordination
- →Perform careful manual entry of sample data
- →Store samples for long-term storage, ensuring each is in the correct location
- →Rack samples for production
- →Keep all samples in order and in the correct freezers
- →Count samples at the end of each study
- →Perform data entry for the sample receipt area
- →Return samples to clients or other specified parties
- →Conduct daily monitoring of refrigerators and freezers, including regular maintenance (defrosting) with proper documentation
- →Maintain a clean, organized lab space and freezer rooms — a tidy environment supports accurate, reliable work
Requirements

- A strong eye for detail — you notice when something is off and you correct it
- Comfort with repetitive, process-driven tasks performed to a consistently high standard
- To prevent sample contamination, nicotine-free candidates are preferred
- Previous lab or science experience or training is preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills and be a collaborative team player
- Must be self-motivated and able to manage your work independently
- 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, beginning work between 7:30 am and 9 am, based on your preference
